The Neck > Truganini LookoutÂ
Visit whenever you like to take in the amazing vista (weather permit) (best is sunrise or sunset). Simply enjoy the views as you climb the steps to the lookout. You might spend hours simply shooting pictures of the shifting clouds and the motion of the waves. In the neck reserve, which serves as a refuge for wildlife, you might see a little fairy penguin returning after an outing at sea at dusk (Please respect their presents by not disturbing them).  Â
Bruny Island CruisesÂ
Don’t miss out on booking a 3-hour Bruny Island wilderness cruise with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys. There are family packages available, with children’s rates lower than adult rates.
Join in the hunt for sea wildlife such as seals, dolphins, whales, and seabirds; if you’re lucky, you might spot some dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
Adventure Bay BeachÂ
This beach is perfect for people of all age groups; you can go for a long walk or simply relax and nibble on some food from the Adventure Bay store. Enjoy the sound of the waves and the beautiful colours of the sky and water; you might even spot a whale passing by or take a dip in the water for fun if you have proper swim gear (depending on the season)
Seafood Restaurant at Adventure BayÂ
Enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant with stunning views of Adventure Bay or takeaway and picnic on the beach. Menu options include local produce and Tasmanian fish, as well as a wide selection of local wines and beverages.
Bruny Island Wild CaféÂ
Bruny Island Wild – Jetty Café is a must-visit if you’re on Bruny Island on the weekends. They are usually open from Friday to Sunday. A great menu of delicious wood fired pizzas is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. On Fridays, they serve a different menu with seasonal produce ingredients.

Beach walk at Nebraska Beach
We like to walk on the beach after lunch or late lunch at Bruny Island Wild Café; this beach is relatively safe and has a large sandy beach. The beach has plenty of space for a family picnic or play.
The beach is quiet and peaceful, with views across The Channel to the Bay. Take a stroll along the golden sand, hike the Dennes Point Heritage Trail (45 minutes / 1.5km return), or fish off the jetty for squid in summer or fish.
