Who hasn’t heard of this amazing lookout? I’m sure many of you who have visited Tasmania have had this experience.
We go to the Neck and Truganini Lookout at least once a month – we climb the stairs, enjoy the views, and walk at the beach, have a swim, or just relax on the sand taking in the beautiful views.
Climbing the stairs to the top of the lookout is worth the effort. The surrounding view is breathtaking! You can see stunning Adventure Bay, Cape Queen Elizabeth, the Neck Beach, Storm Bay and views all the way to the Tasman Peninsular.
The awesome Neck Beach is approx. 10 km long, so you can walk for as long as you like.
When is the best time to visit Truganini Lookout? For me, any time is great, but sunrise and sunset skies are spectacular and constantly changing.
If you’re lucky, you might see Bruny’s little fairy penguins walking out to sea at dawn or coming into their burrows at dusk.
( If you do see little penguins, please keep a respectful distance).
